Finding Stefanie is a delightful look at what happens when the girl-next-door meets the hero from the big screen. But this story is beyond "fan"-tastic; it's a touching tribute to love without the pretense.
This final installment in the Noble Legacy series focuses on Stefanie Noble, but sees the return of some favorite characters. Although Stefanie seems content working on her family's ranch, she never lost hope for a "happily-ever-after" ending. After meeting Lincoln Cash, she feels a connection, but several concerns pop up along the way. When two young girls and their older brother show up in town, and in desperate need, Stefanie's heart opens wider to welcome them into her home. But life isn't easy for this "Horse Whisperer". A fire, some serious secrets, and a series of accidents cry out for answers.
Excellent writing and an emotionally driven plot keep the pages turning. This novel has a casual "easy" feel that makes getting to know the characters a real treat. Stefanie is lovable; her insecurities in social situations and her confidence as a horse trainer cause her character to be both complex and compelling. The idea of meeting and falling in love with a Hollywood hero is definitely appealing, but the author added a more meaningful twist to the tale.
Christian truths rested snugly between the covers of this book and entered the story line with a sense of authenticity. Although at first glance it seems this novel is a romance, it really goes deeper than that. Perhaps a better description would be a "love" story, because this emotion is seen and felt among several of the characters in the sub-plots and gives a stirring testimony to the infinite love and grace of God.
The ranch setting with rolling hills and open spaces is big enough to capture the spirit of this novel and send it straight to the heart of readers.
