Handsome Damon Nicolaides had secretly married Sarah Meyerson a year ago, but no one but a few family members knew that fact. Having always been known for his wealth and his reputation with the ladies, Damon was frequently mentioned in newspapers and magazines and it wouldn't have served for him to make known he was no longer available. Damon had originally sought out Sarah with the intention of making an offer on some land she had inherited, but ended up falling in love with her instead and secretly married her. Damon's father, Aristotle Nicolaides, convinced Sarah that Damon had only married her for her land and was actually having an affair in addition. Why? Because Damon had married Aristotle's enemy's daughter, Sarah, instead of the girl that was chosen for him. When Sarah hears about Damon's deceit, she moves to London to get away from him, but he later shows up there to claim what is his. When news of his arrival reaches the paparazzi, Damon must present Sarah as his mistress in order to protect her. When business is done in London, can he convince her of his love and get her to return to being his wife on Mykonos?
Kate Walker once again brings readers a wonderful story that is impossible to put down until the last page has been read. Alpha hero, Damon, while being tough and strong, is also ready to fight for his woman and protect her from the sharks surrounding her. Sarah is an innocent who loves with her whole heart and is easily hurt, especially where it concerns Damon. THE MARRIED MISTRESS is a fast-paced story that can easily be read in one sitting, which is exactly what I did myself. Misunderstandings and deceit cause heartache, which Ms. Walker twists around to bring readers passion and power. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a fast-paced, powerful romance without all the silly fluff.

Mercedes Alcolar has much more freedom in London than she ever would have had in her native Spain, and she is certainly going to enjoy it! At a party she happens to notice a handsome man across the room watching her. Who could he be and what was he staring at her for? When they finally introduce themselves to each other, the sparks fly as they share dances together. When Mercedes is invited to a private dinner at the man's house, she jumps at the chance, only to find almost too late it wasn't a good idea to be alone with such a virile man. With her virginity about to be lost to a man she barely knew, Mercedes comes to her senses and runs away.
Jake Taverner is enthralled by the beautiful lady he meets at the party, and knows he must have her in his bed. He succeeds, only to have her run out on him when he goes in search of protection. Why did she run away, and will he ever get a second chance with the lovely Mercedes Alcolar? Can Jake trap her into a fake engagement with her father's blessing and make her his?
BOUND BY BLACKMAIL is the last in the series of the Alcolar family stories, and I turned the last page with a fond farewell. Hopefully I will get time to revisit each one of these Alcolars in the future and savor each of their stories again. Mercedes' tale of love is just as passionate and engrossing as those of her older brothers, and Kate Walker has done an excellent job of tying them all together to make an engaging series. I recommend these books to anyone looking for a well-written contemporary series.
