Alex was doomed. His plane was sputtering and there was no way he'd make it to anywhere but one of the small islands. Not being shark bait was good, but he really didn't want to be Robinson Crusoe either. As his engine gives out over a large island, he laughs in the face of death.

Alex awakens several hours later in the lap of a beautiful woman. He thinks he's died for what else could she be but an angel? To his surprise his rescuer is a royal princess and he's landed on a world far removed from his. They have dragons, for crying out loud. After the old healer pronounces him healed of his injuries, the king gives him a mission. Alex is to find out where the twelve royal princesses spend their evenings and why their shoes and panties are always worn out or missing.

Failure will result in death; success will allow him to marry whichever of the princesses he chooses.

Author Ashley Ladd adds a new spin to this familiar fairy-tale. I enjoyed every moment, from the dragons to the vivid descriptions to the sizzling sex scenes. My first tale by Ashley Ladd, Dirty Dancing will certainly not be the last.
