When they graduated from high school four best friends, Caryn, Deanna, Spring and Jenna, vowed not to lose touch with each other. Every year they would meet on or very close to January 1st and go over the past year's resolutions and write down their new ones. Without fail each friend shows up for dinner and they proceed to discuss their Resolutions.
Ever since she was a girl Spring Matthews had wanted to visit Scotland. Now she was finally going. Her trip was all planned, including her free time during the tour. Then at the very last minute her roommate Nancy had to cancel, but managed to find her a roommate for the first part of the trip. Unfortunately, Nancy neglected to mention her new roommate was young, handsome and decidedly male. How was a compulsive planner like Spring going to handle Morgan, who made her want to live life spontaneously instead of by a schedule?
Ms. Knight's stories never fail to bring a smile to my face, tears to my eyes and warmth to my heart. Every line is filled with such emotion I couldn't help but be touched. Spring is one of those heroines who stick with you and you want more than anything for her to be happy and give love a shot no matter what complications may lay ahead. A truly remarkable tale and one I will be rereading in the future.
Resolutions is one anthology I highly recommend. It is full of eroticism, romance and friendship. It's also introduced me to some wonderful authors I would have otherwise missed. Don't miss.

It was only supposed to be a weekend fling, but Sally (Geneva) knew it was all too possible she would fall in love with Jack. The passion between them was like nothing she'd ever experienced or probably would ever experience again. But they were so different: she was a Southern girl who loved her small town and he was a worldly-wise big city dweller. It would have been all to easy for her to find out exactly who he was and get in contact with him afterwards, but she didn't. Perhaps it was better that way.
Several weeks later Geneva's grandfather passed away and she along with the other relatives attended the funeral. To her great shock, Jack was there. Jack turned out to be her cousin Kyle, the son of her absent uncle. To say they were both dumbfounded was an understatement.
Not only had they both misrepresented themselves, they were related! To make matters worse, the passion between them was still burning bright. Yet is it only physical attraction they share or is it something deeper? Will they even give themselves time to discover if their relationship could be something deeper?
What a hot story! It's All Relative starts out with a bang and keeps getting hotter and more interesting. Kyle and Geneva have this great chemistry as Sally and Jack, but the chemistry between their real characters is unbelievable. Yet because of their shared past or perhaps in spite of it, both fight what they have, even though deep down they don't want to. I spent the entire novel alternating between agreeing with them and wanting to knock some sense into them. I refuse to spoil the ending, but the surprise twist makes It's All Relative a must read.
I think the one thing the endears this story along with Ms. Knight's other novels is the way she captures the true spirit of Southern women and men. Most of the time, the women are portrayed as airheads and the men ignorant hicks. Yes, there are a quite a few of those in the South, but Ms. Knight captures the independence, sense of self, and determination that sets Southern women and gentlemen apart. This in addition to her wonderful storytelling will keep me reading Dee S. Knight's books for years to come.
