Ella Kent reaches for a banana split her friend ordered, but can't reach it because she's overweight. Richard Shelton smirks at his friend and commands her to bare her soul to him on why she's on this rampage. She had a hell of a day and tried to compensate for the pain by binge eating. Telling him what happened was pulling at her and making her want to cry. When she comes clean, he shares his banana split with her as she tells him that she also picked up a small gag gift, a magic potion. There are limits on it, but she needed the boost.

When she goes to the bathroom, she runs into a man beyond comparison. He offers to help her up and does so fairly easily. He makes a comment that her meal is free and when Richard says it's her birthday, he wishes her a happy birthday. Then he's gone. That night, by the light of the full moon, Ella decides to have fun and drinks the potion, makes a wish, and repeats the verse the Gypsy woman gave her. Though it hadn't seem to change her, she at least had fun on her 30th birthday. When she wakes up, her world is changed upside down. Even her best friend, Richard can't believe it's her at first. Then they realize she's got this look for 30 days and she could lose her job and more because no one would recognize the new thin Ella Kent.

As she's eating her supper, spaghetti at her favourite restaurant, she meets...him. The man with the sexy subtle Irish lilt, the one who she ran into. Could it be that she has a shot at her wish? Then Ian Clayton told her that he wanted her. When she gets her wish, things are perfect, or are they? How can she tell him about who she really is? Ian calls her Elegant, a contraction of her name she never considered as most call her Elephant. When the month is up, she disappears from his life. But she's changed in more ways than one.

I won't spoil the ending as it's true a Cinderella tale. Isabella Jordan has written a story from the heart and though short, I'm beginning to like these short, erotic stories, it's emotionally fulfilling. This story curls you up and makes you think that dreams can come true with hard work and determination. Nothing is impossible if you realize your own strengths, something Ian and Ella both find out in their time together and apart. I love Isabella Jordan's work and this story just satisfies you on a deeper level, giving you a feel good moment you won't soon forget.

Ella Kent is thirty; weighs two-hundred-and-seventy-five pounds and her colleagues call her "Elephant". She has no lovers and her only friend is gay. What more does she need for a low morale? She is painfully shy and self-conscious. She just can't bear the pity or the snides anymore. But how can she change when she stuffs herself with food whenever she is down, which is practically all the time?

On her thirtieth birthday, Ella is lured by a gypsy into buying a potion, which supposedly is going to make her beautiful for 30 days. She doesn't believe in it, yet buys it for fun. Then consumes it for fun. Imagine her surprise when it works. She's suddenly this smart, attractive woman who every guy looks at, not with pity, but with undisguised interest. When gorgeous Ian Clayton looks at her with the same interest, Ella's wish has come true. She decides to enjoy her month in Ian's arms. But what will happen after the month? Can the "elegant" and not the "elephant' part of her, shine without the potion?

Elegant is a beautifully sentimental tale, which most definitely is capable of arousing sympathy in a reader's heart. Ella and her yearnings are extremely easy to relate to. Mind-blowing passion and rousing emotion make this book a rapturous combination. The main characters seem so real that they actually can remind you of yourself or anyone you know. Isabella is a truly admirable author and the way she has presented this story is praiseworthy. The twist at the end deserves a special mention and it sure made me weepy.

Elegant is a must buy for the elegant and the inelegant.
