Now together for over a year, the Yada Yada Prayer Group has seen many prayers being answered and good things happening all around. Chanda has lots of money to buy the good things in life, Nony is finally going to be able to return to South Africa, and Stu and Becky are friends living together in the apartment above Jodi. Plus many more things also, but just when life seems to be going great for everyone, is the time for the devil to throw a little excitement into their lives.

Becky begins getting on Stu's nerves, Jodi's kids drive her crazy, and racial prejudice comes to Nony's family when a hate group centers its hate on her husband's college campus and him personally. As the Yada Yada Group meets regularly for prayer, they begin to wonder if things will ever be normal again, but then again, what exactly is normal anyway for any of them? When the going gets tough, can these twelve ladies of faith get tough and get it all straightened out again, or will it drive them apart?

Told from Jodi's standpoint, this book is the fourth in the Yada Yada Series, and while possibly being able to stand alone, I highly recommend readers read the other three first. The sheer amount of characters can be overwhelming from the very beginning of the book, and many events being referenced throughout the book happened in earlier ones, leaving non-readers somewhat clueless as to what exactly happened before.

That being said, THE YADA YADA PRAYER GROUP GETS TOUGH is a hard-hitting novel centering on racial prejudice and how prayer needs to be a central factor in our lives as Christians. Neta Jackson pulls no punches and doesn't tiptoe around the issues in this novel. Can the tough Yada Yada ladies and Ms. Jackson pull off another award-winning best-seller?
