As I prepared to write this particular review, I wondered what I could possibly say that hadn't already been said. With such a beautiful, touching book, I suppose it only fitting I speak from my heart. From the time they were born, I've taught my children life is a precious gift and everyone has a special place in the world. Like most children, they believe me but like to receive confirmation from another source, after all I'm only mommy. :) On the Day You Were Born offers them the confirmation they seek and teaches just how special birthdays are.

Lyrical and heartwarming, On the Day You Were Born is unforgettable, whether you're two or seventy-two. Simple, colorful illustrations add to Debra Frasier's gentle story. All three of my children love this book and beg to have it read several times a day. I enjoy the wonder it creates for nature and how everything is connected, not to mention the reverence and joy at the birth of a new baby. A family favorite!
