If you've ever been frustrated when talking to a man, read this book. The authors have truly taught me something about the communication process that goes on between men and women. And the best part is, there's hope!

Continuing with the theme started in their previous book, How to Get Your Husband to Talk to You, authors Nancy Cobb and Connie Grigsby rip the veil a little more to reveal another aspect of the verbal interchange that occurs between the sexes. While most women may feel men come with an invisible set of earplugs, they will be surprised and even relieved to learn that how they talk is really the silencing stumbling block. These pages are filled with biblical principles and down-to-earth personal experiences. The authors wrote this book to be understood and applied. And what an amazing place this world would be if women everywhere incorporated these concepts into their daily conversations.

The basic idea is that men and women listen differently. With the authors' advice and wonderful encouragement, women can begin to communicate on a "frequency" that the men in their lives will be able to tune into. In a marriage or serious relationship, talking and listening are the cornerstones. While the authors genuinely commiserate with women over the apparent lack of interest a man may show in a conversation, these pages go beyond the problem to a very workable solution. Most noteworthy is the fact that this book is not about changing men's way of listening. Rather, the women are motivated to alter how they speak, and therefore make every dialogue meaningful.

The authors take turns talking to the readers, making these pages seem like a wonderful chat with your best girlfriends. Be inspired by their words and then go and try out their advice. I did -- and the results are incredible!
