When readers can hum the title of a book, you know there's high energy in those pages! You Make Me Feel Like Dancing is the first of three novels in the Va Va Va Boom series. The 'boom" refers to Baby Boomers but readers of all ages will feel the driving beat that keeps this story rocking into reality.

Author Allison Bottke has tapped into the disco era to create a character with a past that sings both high and low notes. Susan Anderson owns a hair salon in Las Vegas that combines vintage memorabilia with cutting-edge customer service. Susan was one of the elite, dancing at Studio 54 with the beautiful people, all of whom were on a first name basis. But somehow the needle stuck on the record of her life, at a point that created a deep groove that needs to crossed. With a loving husband, terrific friends and a solid belief in God, Susan steps out on the dance floor of life to hopefully make the right moves this time around.

If you have a disco ball somewhere in your closet, hang it up and grab this book! These pages are a look into a time when music was fun, clothes were outrageously creative and platform shoes were standard issue. The author casually drops the names of celebrities who frequented Studio 54 and the artists who breathed life into this era, joining fact and fiction for one terrific story. Susan's salon is filled with memorabilia that is more than a collector's dream; it provides the framework for a sensitive story with significant implications. Christianity is presented in all its relevancy and power. "God-cidences" abound in this book and finding out what that term means is so exciting.

You Make Me Feel Like Dancing leads readers in a moving story that dips, weaves and encircles the lives of Susan Anderson and her friends. And when that last page is turned, the 'dance' won't end because the heartbeats of these characters will still be heard, tapping out a rhythm that will enrich all of our lives.
