Dek is a man from another planet that is so advanced that they are able to travel to different parts in time. He and his crew were sent to Earth to observe and record Earth and some of its different notable honorable time periods. Dek was in the process of being transported back to his ship when something malfunctions, leaving him stranded in Virginia in the twentieth century.

Thinking Dek to be one of those Civil War re-enactors, he is sent to the home of Karen White who hosts reenactments at her house. Karen is a single mom trying to hold onto the big house and surrounding land she had inherited. When Dek came to her house, she feels a bit sorry for him and decides to give him some work and a place to stay. Karen never met a man like Dek. A man who was a bit different but honest and very considerate. Soon their feelings for one another grows. Will Karen still feel deeply for Dek when she finds out what he really is? Will Dek stay on Earth with Karen or go back to his own planet?

Honor Bound by Robin Bayne is a wonderful story giving the readers a taste of both time travel and futuristic genre. The hero is a man who has very admirable traits and the heroine is a strong woman. A great read.

Sweethearts Colt Reese and Tia Fauncini were hurt in a boating accident. While Tia lay injured in a hospital, Tia's sister, Cami, convinced Colt, who was left with amnesia, that they had been lovers. She shows him her diary as proof.

Colt believed Cami and went to live with her. He left behind his life as an airline pilot and works at a construction job. When they told him his grandmother had died, he feels pain and begins to remember parts of his former life. It doesn't jibe with what Cami had told him.

Now, seven years later, Colt has regained his memory and left Cami. Colt wants to save his grandmother's inn, The Cougar and the Cardinal, and restore it. When Tia appears, he hopes she will forgive him for believing Cami and living with her.

But Tia, now a chef, is not ready to forgive and forget. She offers to buy half of his grandmother's inn, the Cougar and the Cardinal, so they can reopen it, but will only agree to be business partners. Colt agrees.

The story follows the ups and downs of their journey back toward trust in each other. Cami is still a thorn in their side. Will she win Colt back?

Ms. Bayne draws the reader subtlety into the lives and emotions of her interesting and sympathetic characters and makes us open our hearts to their problems. She pulls us in and doesn't let go until we've read the last page. Good job, Ms. Bayne!
